Silver Falls State Park - Trail of Ten Falls

Date: August 11, 2007
Distance: 8.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 850 ft
Time: 4 hours
Difficulty: Easy, may be considered moderate or difficult with kids due to the distance
Maps: Ten Falls Trail map and brochure
My Route:
Clockwise on the Ten Falls Trail with return on the Rim Trail
Notes:
It was an easy day. The trail is pretty much flat and there are lots of photo ops to take breaks.

The trail was insanely crowded, especially the first few miles. I've never seen so many strollers on a hiking trail before.

South Falls (Waterfall #1)

I think this is North Falls (#9)

Walk behind waterfalls are always fun.

Winter Falls (#7) were dry, apparently mid-August is too late for that one.

Be aware that dogs are not allowed on this trail. There are several shorter loops possible which allow for a quicker trip.

There are water, restrooms and other services in the park
